TCCD Small Business Development (SBDC)

The SBDC is a professional management counseling service funded by Tarrant County College District and the SBA. In addition to free customized business consulting, the SBDC offers low cost seminars, conferences, and courses geared to small-business needs. The SBDC also provides assistance in the area of international business.
Fort Worth Economic Development Corporation (EDC)

EDC focuses on financial assistance to small businesses. Its SBA loan program is designed to assist healthy, expanding businesses in the acquisition of capital assets such as land, buildings and equipment that have a useful life of 10 years or more. The EDC also assists firms in accessing other SBA financing programs, and manages a $1 million Revolving Loan Fund for the City of Fort Worth that directs lending to businesses in four designated low or moderate income areas.

A cooperative program of the United States Small Business Administration (SBA) and the University of North Texas (UNT) designed to provide counseling, consulting and technical assistance to existing small businesses and startup entrepreneurs utilizing the efforts and talents of UNT faculty and students. Experienced senior and graduate level students work during each fall and spring semester under faculty supervision to help small business owners make sound decisions and solve almost any small business problem.
Assists more than 100 existing and planned small businesses each year. Nationally recognized, the UNT-SBI is one of the most productive of the 500+ SBIs located at colleges and universities across the United States, and is dedicated to helping small firms start, grow and prosper.
