Keller is comprised of 18.5 square miles, just nine miles west of DFW Airport and four miles southeast of Alliance Airport, 15 miles northeast of Downtown Fort Worth and 25 northwest of Dallas. In 1990, Keller's population was 13, 683 with today's population reaching 36,328.

The Keller Independent School District encompasses more than 51 square miles and nine municipalities. Home to 32 campuses, which include three comprehensive high schools (9-12), five intermediate schools (5-6), five middle schools (7-8), and 18 elementary schools (K-4), the district serves more than 28,000 students.

The Keller ISD Natatorium opened in March 2003 and is located in Keller Town Center. It is a remarkable, state of the art indoor facility featuring 25 lanes for competition and training use and two moveable bulkheads.
The Natatorium has fixed seating for 750 patrons on the second level of the pool. Generous space for handicapped seating is available as well. Deck seating for over 500 athletes and coaches is available poolside.
The pool depth in the official meet racecourse varies from twelve and half feet to six feet-ten inches. Non-turbulent lane lines are installed in both competitive and warm-up/warm-down pools and starting blocks are installed in each area for competition and warm-up. Heat and event numbers and race timing are posted on a ten-lane scoreboard connected to a Colorado timing system.
